So why am I here? For as long as I’ve been alive my mother and I have hoarded cookbooks, magazine clippings, and emails from food bloggers. I checked today and in my gmail labelled FOOD, there are over 4000 emails of recipes that I’ve kept. I have a large freezer bags (yes plural) of magazine clippings with many recipes, both for dinner and for dessert. I have many cookbooks both professional and of the church variety that are cluttered about. Every single day we make food, we eat food. We hold special memories to familiar flavors, and can cultivate a feeling of home, just by cooking food. My ultimate goal, is to sort through the noise, sort through the books, magazines, periodicals, blog posts, of things you MUST make for dinner, of things that “you’ll never be the same without tasting!”. Also… I can’t be the only one who’s saved thousands of food blogger emails right? Please tell me I’m not the only one.

My Caveats:

I’m sorry for yelling, but I just can’t do it. I will never ever like the taste of them. They taint everything they touch. Every other kind of pepper is fine, just not green.
Coconut – Although I don’t mind coconut, it’s not my absolute favorite, but where we come to a halt is that my boyfriend Nick won’t eat it. Period. (well with the exception of Nanaimo Bars, thats it.)
Cherries – I loooooove cherries, Nick hates cherries (with the exception of canned pie cherries on a no-bake cheesecake).
If you’re curious as to why any of these items are limited or missing from my repertoire, that is why!
Olives – Not a fan, only like the oil.

I used to figure skate.
I work part time as an Accounts Payable Clerk.
I am an only child.
I try really hard to keep to one coffee a day.
